It's A Long Story (Part I)

Last night, I was out with my sisters, brother, and my sister's bf. We dined at a barbeque place inside one of the malls - they offer unlimited servings of rice, so we were very, very full. Afterwards, we roamed around the mall til closing time (9 PM), but we figured it was still early to go home (on a Wednesday night), so we went for a joy ride. We passed by the Sea Wall first. It's a hang-out spot, just beside the open sea and a famous motel/inn. At the beachfront, stands a 14-foot tall replica of Michaelangelo's naked Statue of David. It faced objections and raised controversies because it was placed near a motel. Others said it was a publicity stunt - a marketing strategy to raise curiousity from the general public, thus, more visits. I guess it worked... hehe Anyways, we didn't step out of the car, we just drove along.

We decided to stay in a hotspot - somewhere with free wifi. There were a lot of good choices, but we went to C5, a fairly new coffee shop along Torres Street. The place was packed, so we didn't think twice, and decided to go to K1, instead. K1's just a few steps away from C5. It's a Family KTV place, but we just stayed at the lobby. One of my sisters ordered a Caffe Americano, while her bf ordered a Latte. I drank Vodka Cruiser Blueberry. But I should've ordered an Irish Coffee. =/ After we finished our drinks, my brother wanted to eat pizza at Bruegger's. After hearing that, one of my sisters immediately agreed, as she wanted to savor their Onion Rings again. Plus, I haven't really tried Bruegger's yet, so we went there.

Bruegger's is in Auto Compound, a place with several party spots. Well, used to, that is... Last night, I felt sorry for the place. The whole Auto Compound is a no-man's land. I guess if it isn't because of Urban Club, the place would be barren. It used to be packed even on weekdays. We didn't mind, so we went inside Bruegger's and looked at their menu. Pizza... Cocktails... Meals... My sister just wanted to eat Onion Rings, but it wasn't available. I heard stories about this before - Bruegger's saying no to customers because their supplies ran out. It's probably understandable in the past, because there were a lot of diners then. But last night, only 2 tables were occupied... And I'm sure even if we went there earlier, we would've still seen the same scenario. I wonder who ate all the onions? o_O Anyways, my brother's craving for pizza was gone too, so with a unanimous decision, we left without ordering anything. hehe (To be continued...)
